7 Unlucky Children of the Orphanage
The day, although that was not a bright day, all of seven unlucky children of Annville Orphanage were looked happy with their duty to clean all part of that small and poor orphanage, including me. Poor, maybe that was not too poor. But it was so matched with its ancient building and its matt nameplate that written “Annville Orphanag”. The ‘E’ letter was disappeared caused by dust, crust dust. The nameplate was made by mahogany from the jungle behind the building. But I was not so sorry about that. Swear, I like the place, ever. And 'till my life end, i will never forget that all part of my life spent in the white building near the jungle. I would try to make my small family happy as hard as possible, especilally our Mommy. Although I was the second young of all children, after Fred. There, always seen a woman, old-palsied-woman sat on the wheel-chair with her blue dress and she spoke so bland to her orphan-children. Her face revealed her hard life alone without any man consorting her after her lovely husband passed by a scare accident. Her hollowing skin showed the hard-work she did since even. She smiled to her children who smiled her back. That was Mrs. Tammy, who had given me a name, Emma and give my twin brother name Bill. There are seven unlucky children in that orphanage, and maybe just seven, ever. Because there was no one wanna adopt the children, even one. So, until Mrs. Tammy’s life, the only seven angels she had would accompany her with smile. Andrea, Bill, Emma, Fred, Gilbert, Jason and Lassie. Thosa were the seven unlucky children Mrs. Tammy had. Never, they left Mrs. Tammy alone. They had promised all. But if something happened, for example they all lost Mrs. Tammy, they would never leave each other. Because they were just one family, ever. Until something horrify happened. No body thought before, even the children. That was unbelievable. When Mrs. Tammy's birthday was tomorrow, she was sick. She got breatheless, and Fred the oldest carried Mrs. Tammy to the bed. She was looked so suffered. But Fortuna was stay at our side. Mrs. Tammy was back. She smiled at us while we was praying for her. Next day, she was looked so fresh. More than her usual. She was very spiritful and sang so loud when we bring her a small cake with a small strawberry above the cake. And also a little of white cream. That was our cake. Then, Fred gave her a small box. She opened it and her eyes were full of tears. God bless you, she said. She took the gift and we all were looked so happy she tried to wear our hand-made necklace. Can I hug you? She said and did it. Then she said that she wanna sleep. We all accompany her to her room and then she was laining down. When I went to her room, with her dinner, she was looked sleep-well. I didnt have the heart to wake her. When I touch her arm, I wasa surprised. Cold. What is happened? I screamt and Bill, my twin got closer at Mrs. Tammy. And suddenly Bill hugged me and cried. And he whispered, she has gone... I hugged him too and I cried on his chest. Then all children cried too, Fred tried to make all calm. But I was not believe it. Gosh... Many years have passed, but I didnt believe that... Bill and I and also all children have spent the dark time without Mrs. Timmy for many years. I couldnt easily forget her last word that prayed for us hope God bless us. When she smiled and cried, I saw the cataracts in her sightless eyes. She had taken us care, before the dark day took her from us...
